Creative Dance Center Donates $7,000 to the Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter

President of Creative Dance Center and the Institute of Performing Arts for Youth, Ramona Batchelder, presented a $7,000 donation for the Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter to Nicole Acosta, the Executive Director of Loudoun Citizens for Social Justice, in front of their office in Leesburg on February 25, 2013.

The funds were raised in just under two hours by the collaborative efforts of over 300 dancers from Creative Dance Center’s Competition Team, All Stars, and Performing Troupe, members of our Instructional and Administrative Staff, and a host of parents and volunteers, at our 3rd Annual Winter Benefit held on January 26th, 2013, at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn, VA.

The evening was a sellout with a standing room only audience.  Special thanks extends to all the family, friends, and local residents who attended this sold-out special event and made these donations possible.

In addition to the $7000 raised for Loudoun Abused Women’s shelter, Ramona Batchelder, also presented a check to The Malone Foundation for $4,000 for a total charitable donation of $11,000 from one night, thanks to the funds raised through dance during this wonderful event.
